Tongren Railway Station Square

The project is situated in the gateway of Tongren, the "Capital of Wuling," deeply rooted within the cultural belt of eastern Guizhou. The generation of the station square stems from the core concept of "The affinity of sacred mountains and pure waters, the hospitality of a benevolent city," aiming to sculpt a civic landmark that embodies regional spirit.

Through the integration of transportation systems and the geometric logic of landscape axes, the design constructs a highly intensive and efficient spatial typology: cultural nodes such as the "Renyi Tower" and "Renyi Altar" on the surface are vertically interwoven with large-scale underground transit garages. This configuration allows high-efficiency transfer flows and pleasant landscape environments to permeate and support one another.

Here, the symbolic landscape language—rooted in local traditions such as Buddhist and Nuo cultures—engages in a dialogue with the transit functions of a modern integrated hub. Through the comprehensive implementation of barrier-free systems and functional facilities, the design collectively shapes a multifaceted public space that is both ceremonially significant and operationally efficient.
