This project is a large-scale urban cultural complex that integrates a library, exhibition hall, and public arts center, serving as a significant city landmark.
The building consists of three main functional zones, with a layout that prioritizes structural efficiency and economic viability, following a north-south parallel spatial arrangement. The southern section houses storage areas and vertical circulation facilities. The central area features large multifunctional spaces and a series of atriums, while the northern section contains flexible, adjustable functional spaces.
The architectural form is inspired by the region’s distinctive geographical features, resulting in a folded roof, terraced base, and permeable façade design. The roof, composed of colored glass crystals and perforated panels, creates a lightweight, dynamic folded effect while ensuring optimal daylight for the central spaces. The stepped base adapts to the natural terrain, enhancing the integration between architecture and landscape. The façade combines dense vertical lines with frosted glass, increasing spatial permeability and fostering interaction with the surrounding environment.
The overall design not only reflects local topographical characteristics but also provides the city with a versatile, high-quality cultural public space.
