Founded in 2004 by Haobo Wei and Jingsong Xie, West-line Studio is an international design practice rooted in multiple cultural contexts.
We work across regions, grounding each project in territorial order, local materials, and the lived spirit of place (Genius Loci).
Our team works in several languages and cultural settings, and maintains long-term academic and research exchanges with universities in Europe and Asia.

West-line Studio has long worked through a consistent approach:
• Commune-by-regional-ties
• Precision-controlled Geometry
• Territorial Order
• Composite Construction
• Ritual–Mnemonic System
This approach sustains the lived spirit of place (Genius Loci) in contemporary conditions, supporting the continuity of regional cultural and ecological relations.
Our practice reinforces the vitality of communal and public life, activating shared spaces and renewing everyday social rituals within their local contexts. Through these works, we seek to cultivate environments where living, gathering, and meaning naturally unfold.
Our work has been widely discussed and recognized within international professional and academic circles. Through ongoing global exchange, our projects continue to be exhibited, published, and honored with significant international awards.
